Undergraduate Special Opportunities in Artistry and Research Program (USOAR)
Beginning this academic year, the Office of Student Engagement and Engaged Learning will no longer be offering our Undergraduate Special Opportunities in Artistry and Research Program (USOAR). This program will instead be merged with our Student Engagement Fund (SEF).
SEF provides funding for students working on faculty-mentored research projects and supports undergraduate student engagement projects. Requests can be made to cover compensation for undergraduate students and/or for student expenses associated with engaged learning projects (travel, project supplies, etc.) or a combination thereof.
Applications for Spring SEF are currently being accepted and have a deadline of October 15, 2019. Visit go.niu.edu/SEF for more information and to apply.
