Academic and career goals
During my time at NIU I want t to learn and know more about my field. I plan on making mathematics my minor. I would also like to do at least two internships before I finally graduate Cum Laude.

I intend on pursuing a career in the field of energy or manufacturing, but as I wrote earlier doing a few internships before graduating will either strengthen this goal or shift my interest to a different career field. My ultimate career goal is to become an entrepreneur by using the skills and experiences I acquire during the coming years.

How will SROP help me further my academic goals?
I believe SROP is a stepping stone. Part of my goals is to know more about my field, this research has made me read a lot about engineering as a whole. Doing this research requires me to work outside the classroom which resembles how work is done in the actual world. SROP has encouraged me to build a strong relationship with my mentor. I have learnt a lot from my mentor in this short period and I hope by the time the program is over our relationship will be stronger.

What hobbies do you enjoy?
I love to watch and play soccer and also argue with my soccer friends on whose team is the best. We are in a technological age and phones are everywhere, I hate to admit it but watching my favorite YouTubers on YouTube and being on social media to see what is trending is also my hobby.

I am aiming to get a 3.5 for my first semester as an Undergraduate, because I always get close to it, but have never actually reached it. I plan on getting CPA certified and to do that I must get my master’s degree

How will SROP help me further my goals?
I believe that SROP will help me achieve my goals, because it will allow me to improve my networking skills. There are a lot of people that I will get the opportunity to meet throughout the summer that I would have not been able to meet otherwise. What hobbies do you enjoy?
One of the things I really enjoy to do is go for a run. I haven’t had much chance to do that lately, but it is an amazing way to relax and be able to think about things. It is also a great stress reliever. I also enjoy listening to music. Music is everywhere and it can help with a lot of things because it helps you relate it to things that might be happening in your life. I use to play the violin back when I was younger and it was a very enjoyable time, because I had a class just for music.
