How to Apply

Proposal Requirements:

  • Abstract
  • Broader impacts statement outlining how this project has the potential to benefit society or contribute to achieving specific societal outcomes
  • Sustainability statement explaining how this project will be sustained beyond READ funding
  • Identified project milestones (at least six are required)
  • Project Timeline
  • Itemized budget and justification
  • Letter of support from any relevant partners (partners are encouraged)
  • For Students: Completed and signed faculty/staff mentor contract
  • For Faculty: Identified undergraduate student(s) (student(s) must be selected in advance of the application or a clear plan for recruitment must be outlined in the application)

Selection Process:

  • Applications are due on Friday, October 20,
  • Applications reviewed by the Committee on Academic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion  
  • Selected applicants will be notified by January 29, 2018
